I am not Trayvon. I am white. I do not have to worry about being killed because of the color of my skin. I don’t have to worry about being considered ”suspicious” by those in power, whether that be a neighborhood watch captain or a judge on the bench. I am a loud and proud ally to POC, but I CANNOT understand their experience, because I have always had and will always have white privilege.
